The Educational Affairs Office of the Faculty of Surveying and Spatial Information Engineering is the main authority responsible for policy-making, planning, coordination, and supervision of the implementation of approved educational programs at all three levels: Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD in Surveying Engineering. This includes five specializations: Geodesy, Hydrography, Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
In this regard, the office is responsible for the following duties and tasks:
- Managing all educational affairs and overseeing the proper implementation of regulations and educational guidelines for all programs of the faculty (Daytime, Evening, Virtual, and International).
- Planning to improve the performance of ongoing tasks and developing and enhancing the faculty's educational activities in line with the policies of the campus and university.
- Making decisions regarding the acceptance of guest students within the framework of the university's policies and guidelines.
- Handling matters related to exceptional talent students.
- Announcing admission capacity for Daytime, Evening, and International students based on campus program indicators, after approval by the Faculty Educational Council and the Executive Board for further review and action by the university.
- Reviewing part-time teaching contracts of faculty members and ensuring they comply with the university's educational regulations.
- Evaluating offered courses and providing necessary reports to the Faculty Council.
- Presenting an annual performance report of all activities under the Educational Affairs Office to the Undergraduate and Graduate Education Councils and the Faculty Executive Board.
- Collaborating and assisting in organizing "Teaching Methods" courses for newly hired faculty members during the first two years of their employment with the faculty.
- Preparing agendas for the Undergraduate and Graduate Education Councils of the faculty.
