The Faculty Council Room has been named after the founder and establisher of the Faculty of Surveying and Geospatial Engineering at the University of Tehran, the esteemed Professor Dr. Mahmoud Zolfaghari.

This room is designated for holding defense sessions and is located on the second basement floor of the Faculty.

The Council Room is one of the most important educational and research spaces in the Faculty, specifically designed for holding defense sessions for master's theses and doctoral dissertations. This room provides a quiet, formal, and well-equipped environment where students can defend their academic achievements in a professional setting, and where referees and supervisors can easily conduct their review and evaluation.

In terms of equipment, this room is equipped with advanced audio-visual systems to ensure that presentations are delivered with complete clarity for all attendees. The capability to connect various laptops and mobile devices via HDMI and VGA ports to the room's 85-inch television is provided, allowing students to easily display their presentation slides. Additionally, high-speed internet and stable Wi-Fi are available for accessing online resources and holding sessions.
