Dr. Mahmoud Zolfaghari
The founder of the Faculty of Surveying and Geospatial Engineering in the year 1988 (1367 in the Persian calendar).
Professor Dr. Mahmoud Zolfaghari, born in 1930 in Hamedan, is a distinguished and pioneering professor in Surveying Engineering. He designed and implemented the present Faculty of Surveying and Geospatial Engineering at the College of Engineering, University of Tehran, in 1987, and managed this faculty (initially as the Surveying Engineering Department) from 1988 to 1993.

- Master's degree in Electronics – College of Sciences, University of Tehran (1965)

- Surveying Engineering (Ingenieur Geographe) – ENSG-IGN, Belgium (1969)
- PhD in Photogrammetry – University of Paris (1972)
He has over 40 years of teaching experience at Amirkabir University of Technology, the Faculty of Surveying and Geospatial Engineering at the University of Tehran, Sharif University of Technology, Laval University (Canada), and Tafresh University, specializing in Surveying, Photogrammetry, Error Theory, Cartography, and English language.
Dr. Bahman Mogharabnia
Dr. Mogharebnia obtained his master's degree in Iran before the revolution and earned his PhD in Construction Management and Execution from the University of Vienna, Austria. He is the president of the Society and a member of the Surveying Council, with over 40 years of experience in the field of surveying.
